IN ORDER FOR YOU TO OBTAIN THE BEST USE FROM YOUR KICB VISA CARD,
WE FEEL IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SHARE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH YOU:

The card you are carrying is not a “credit card”, but a “debit card”. To this end, you can use KICB Visa Card up to the deposit balance in your Visa Account, which was automatically created for you when you obtained KICB Visa Card;

Please be informed that KICB Via cards are available in Kyrgyz som or in US dollars;

Cash withdrawn from any KICB ATM or POS Terminal in another currency will be displayed on your statement in KGS or USD, after being converted at the bank exchange rate at the time the transaction occurred;

At the moment not all KICB ATM's give out US dollar banknotes. In such cases please visit the nearest KICB branch and our tellers can help you obtain US dollars from your VISA card;

If you decide to purchase goods and services in Kyrgyz Soms with your KICB VISA in another bank's POS terminal, the amount will be deducted from your account in US dollars. This is because VISA International's payment settlement system transacts only in USD currency;

The Visa Account is separate from your main KICB account. The VISA Account is connected to the Interbank Processing Center (IPC). The IPC is a special processing centre which allows KICB Visa transactions to be processed by different banks around the world. For this reason, you must replenish the balance on your Visa Account, rather than on your main KICB account, for your Visa Card related transactions;

Cards have daily transaction and withdrawal limits, depending on their type.This limit can be increased by submitting an application at the nearest KICB branch, subject to approve;

An overdraft facility can be arranged for your Visa Card, up to a specified amount above your Visa Account balance. Additional information can be obtained at any branch or by contacting the Banking Card Department at +996 312 690 945;

In order to avoid cases of electronic fraud, KICB VISA card are blocked from Internet transactions. This restriction can be removed upon your request by filling out a form at any KICB branch location;

Furthermore, If you are using the “Online Statement” service to monitor funds in your card account, please note that transactions will be updated with a delay of up to 3 days. This is due to data exchange procedures between VISA International's payment system and the Interbank Processing Center;

KICB Visa Cards can be used worldwide, at any location where Visa Cards are accepted. However, there have been very rare cases in which communication errors or difficulties were experienced between the international network and Kyrgyzstan's network; in these highly exceptional instances, merchants were unable to process KICB Visa Cards. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you keep some cash with you in addition to KICB VISA Card when travelling abroad;

A specialized call center will soon be opened to support Visa Card related operations. In the meantime, if your card is lost or stolen, please immediately contact the Interbank Processing Center (IPC) at +996 312 692 882. The IPC can be accessed 24 hours a day, and will be able to block your card upon provision of your code word to the operator;
Please remember to always inform us as soon as possible if your card is lost or stolen.
